Alpine Ranger

The Alpine Ranger reports to the Sheriffs of both Hinsdale and San Juan County. The Alpine Ranger is an OHV Code Enforcement Officer, devoted to assuring that our high-country visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience while they are enjoying the beauty of the San Juan Mountains.
 

The Alpine Loop brochure is available free of charge at the Visitors Centers in Lake City and Silverton. This brochure contains a summary of OHV regulations in this area and a very good map of the approved OHV routes in Hinsdale and San Juan Counties
